The next round in the 2014 Hottrax ACU/Sorrymate.com Clubman Endurance Championship sees all three parts of Team Army Endurance Racing travel to Cadwell Park.

Cadwell Park Circuit info:

Location: Louth, Lincolnshire

Length: 2.20miles

Lap Record: Leon Haslam, 1:26.654

Highlight: The Mountain

Cadwell Park has been a home from home for Team Army over the last few years. The scene for our most satisfying win of last season when Andy’s strategic prowess came to the fore (earning him the Head of Timings and Strategy role this season) and we won the Rookie classification.

The circuit was also the scene of the most infamous day in Team Army (under our former guise Piston Broke) history. A race on 6 October 2012 ended prematurely when Loz lost the bike going into Hall Bends, hit the wall and broke and dislocated his left ankle. 18 months on Loz can almost run again…I think Team 1 will save the LeMans start for Pep (groin permitting) or Deano though.

What’s been going on?

Since last time out a lot has been happening for Team Army Endurance Racing.

Team 1 – Loz did some further investigation following the failure of his GSX-R at Brands Hatch. Major water damage to the inlet tracts meant not running the bike any further was a good call. A new engine arrived from the Isle of Mann and is mounted, ready to beast the track Easter weekend. Pep did tear his groin in the slowest high-side ever. This hasn’t stopped him in his relentless pursuit of Hottrax domination, managing to secure us a very nice team banner as well as organising Operation Cadwell.

Team 2 – Not much to report following a dream debut for Team 2. They did get to see themselves on TV though. This sparked both Spence and Moggy to get in some elocution lessons and media training in preparation for further success at Cadwell in the Clubman 600s. Spence also got the chance to show off his bike, trophies and his 1st Place cap to the public to help with recruitment. Great to see our success being used to help the Army!

Team 3 – We’re pleased to welcome new rider Lee Parker into the ranks. He’ll debut for Team 3 at Cadwell Park. In other news, Iain’s ZX10 has been given the major TLC it needed following it’s excursion at Paddock Hill bend. New exhaust and paint job for the Kwaka. Meanwhile Darryl has sorted out his rear shock – will we see him get two wheels off the ground at The Mountain??? Come back after Easter to find out.
